Saint Elisabeth of Thuringia, also known as Elisabeth of Hungary, is a saint of the Catholic Church. The name day of the patron saints of Thuringia and Hesse falls on 19 November, the day of her burial. As a symbol of active charity, the saint is also revered in Protestantism.
